1939, A German Reich Identity document as issued in 1939 for Jews - "j". Between 1933 and 1939. the Nazis reversed a century of equal opportunity for German Jews. Enacting over 400 laws designed to define. segregate, and impoverish German Jews. Jews were forced to carry identification cards such as these, marked with the letter "J" forJEW.
