Lot 432

1942, Very rare four sided jewish document (questionaire) given by the Germans in 1942 to residents of formerly Soviet-occupied Poland intended to identify Jewish professionals apparently with a view to their impending deportation to camps. The document to be completed for the German authorities by health professionals reporting for the first time (Fragebogen zur erstmaligen Meldung der Heilberufe) was filled out by Karasz Zygmunt, a dental technician from the town of Warszawa. (This document has been fully filled out).
His photograph has been affixed to the document with two Violet Star of David and Jude stamped on the top centre of the front page. On the inside of the first page it mentions his parents and grandparents by name with the addition 'Jude' and 'Judin'.
This rare historical four sided document measures 8.5 x 12.25ins (22 x 31cm). It is in excellent condition and has been neatly folded in half at some time in the past
